Animals With A Long Life

Live long and healthy life is a dream for many people. When many people dream like that, it turns out there are some animal of an age which often exceed the average man to 65 years old.
Let's check it out...

Tuatara - 111 Years

Language of New Zealand's tuatara. Tuatara species found alive today because they are considered dinosaurs lived on earth has grown to 200 million years. They are also one of the longest age vertebrate on earth, both as a species and as individuals. A tuatara in a zoo recently spawn at the age of 111 years!

Geoduck - 160 Years

Bivalve species of sea water has a minimum lifetime of 160 years. They have a long neck 1m. Visible when out of his shell.





Giant Tortoise - 250 Years

This turtle species are vertebrates that live longest on Earth. One of the tortoise, named Harriet, a Galapagos tortoise, has died at age 175. 'Adwaita' other species of giant Aldabra tortoises known to have died at age 250 in March 2006




Antarctic Sponges - 1550 Years

Very low temperatures in the Antarctic Ocean Antarctic Ocean has led to sponge growth rate is very slow. One specimen was noted to have 1550 years of age.




Tube worms lamella - 170 Years

Tube worms that are not this colorful (L. luymesi) are found in deep ocean waters. They were in the ventilation hydrocarbons found on the seabed and seems to live more than 170 years.
